Our entire master bedroom has really come along this year. We actually started with the bathroom earlier this year. We have a great bathroom layout that really works for us – separate clothes closets as you walk in, separate vanities, a garden tub, decent-sized shower, and a private toilet room, however, the space had been really lacking in design.
I knew I wanted to add some shelves to the bath area, and maybe even some ship lap, so I coerced my husband into making my vision become a reality (as per usual).
Originally I wanted white ship lap but then thought it might look more rustic / Bohemian if we did it a grayish brown color to really bring out the wood grain. I am so glad we did because it turned out beautifully. (And it actually matches my desk and bed!)
I added a macrame hanging to the wall and then added some style to the shelves (which changed a bit as you can see from the pics.)
This is what the shelves look like now:
I wanted to store my Epsom salts in a cute jar. I found mine at Bed Bath & Beyond. I got the milk vase at Walmart, as well as the faux flowers. The rest of the items I had already. I’m obviously a big fan of throwing some seashells in vases and calling it decor.
We actually don’t have a linen closet in the bathroom and running to the hallway when you forget a towel can be pretty awkward, so I picked up a basket from Marshall’s to hold our towels and it is so convenient while also fitting in with my boho theme. The length was perfect and the lacy ends again are very fitting with my theme!
I love love love walking into my bathroom now and seeing this view. It feels very spa-like and I definitely enjoy my baths more (as well as take more of them than I used to!)
