In case you missed it, check out Hawaii Recap Part I & Part II!
Thursday was my mom’s first day out of the conference, so we headed to the adult pool at the hotel.
That evening, we had a sunset booze cruise planned. We were so glad we did it – it was a gorgeous evening for it and the sunset did not disappoint. We even saw a whale blow out water in the distance!
On Friday, we decided to hang out at the man-made lagoon on the beach. I rented a paddleboard – I really need to get one of my own because every time I do it I just love it, and we have the nice big lake in our neighborhood!)
That evening we had dinner reservations at PESCA in the Ilikai. It’s an oceanview restaurant on the 30th floor and I swear we got sat where there was the best view in the place.
That’s the lagoon we were at earlier that day behind me!
And of course no trip is complete without a commemorative tattoo (just kidding) but I did get a coverup done that I had been contemplating. I had an Aries constellation for almost 5 years and I was never truly happy with the quality of it so I got it covered with my favorite flowers – hibiscus and plumeria – and where better to see a tattoo artist that does A LOT of those flowers? Hawaii, of course. It was late Friday night and it took 3 hours. Ouch. But I love it.
Saturday was our last day there, but we didn’t fly out until after 8pm so we had pretty much a full day. We just spent it at the pool and then the beach.
It was such a great trip and I was so glad to get the time with my mom as she lives so far away. We actually get to go on a cruise in August for my brother’s wedding, so we get to travel twice together this year!
