4-Day Itinerary with a Tween/Teen Girl | Part III

OK, this is the final post of a trip I had FOUR MONTHS AGO (I apologize for my delay in getting these written!) I’m going to wrap days 3 and 4 in one post, mostly because day4 was our departure day so it was more like a half day as we left the city in the early afternoon. (Check out Day 1 and Day 2!)

Day 3 was off to a fun start with the Kelly and Mark show! I had gotten us tickets a couple weeks before (they are free via 1iota.com, but you have to go in and see when the day you want opens up (hint, see what the latest available date is and do the math from the current day to know how early you need to go in for your desired date.) This was actually my 2nd time on the show (Farrah’s too technically since I was pregnant with her the first time!) I always tell her technically she’s been to NYC twice. When I went in 2013 with my mom, it was the Kelly and Michael show and the guests were Will Ferrell and Steve Carell and I was even on TV for a brief moment. We actually got a brief on-screen moment this time too (pic below). The main guest this time was Anne Hathaway – I was glad because Farrah actually loved her from Princess Diaries so she knew who she was. Justin Hartley was the other guest (a treat for me haha). Unfortunately Mark was out of town, but the guest host was awesome.

That’s us in the upper balcony! This was a screenshot from the actual show on my TV, so that’s how I knew we were on it.

After Kelly and Mark, we made our way to see Grand Central Terminal. It was about here that Farrah had extreme tiredness hit her after the busy few days, so we headed back to the hotel to rest a couple of hours and we had to say goodbye to our plans to walk the Brooklyn Bridge (next time!)

After some rest, we headed out again to walk through 5th Ave shops and then go see the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center. This one is my fave because you get great city views with ESB and Central Park.

On day 4, we got all packed up, then headed out to Sarabeth’s across from Central Park for brunch before venturing a little bit through Central Park until we had to go back to our hotel and head to the airport. It was an amazing, unforgettable adventure with my daughter and I hope she cherishes it forever like me!
