Our Home | Guest Bathroom Upgrade

I have a relatively easy DIY upgrade to share with you! When we moved into this house, it was pretty much gray walls everywhere, nothing super-custom. It was a new build but we only had so many options. This was how our guest bath looked pretty much after we moved in, except I had changed out the mirror I was using originally to this round gold-framed one, and we added some faux wood shelves. I really liked adding the wood element in there and thought it would be awesome to do a natural wood shiplap style wall behind the mirror and shelves.

We had to find something that closely matched the shelves, and we lucked out finding these ready-made planks at Home Depot, rather than having to stain them ourselves.

Annnndddd since we had to take down the light fixture to put up the panels anyway, we decided to go ahead and change that out to something more our taste, along with a matching faucet.

Here is the final result! I am so happy with it. It really makes the space less “blah”, right?

And there’s usually a bath and vanity rug in there! I apologize as they were in the wash! LOL.
