I am so happy to have this room back together! I had put it together shortly after we moved in, but then I needed somewhere to store all of our porch furniture, etc. while waiting for the screened porch to be built so I had to dismantle this space and use it as a storage facility. LOL But thankfully that’s all done with!
My mom is coming to visit next month, so the timing is perfect.
It’s no secret I love color, so this space was no exception. My intent here also was for it to feel like you’re staying in Charleston! Had to have some beachy vibes with the faux bamboo and wicker, pineapples everywhere (Pineapple Fountain), and then go for a “Rainbow Row” type of feel all around.
The color inspiration came from the quilt on the bed. It was handmade in India. My mom gave it to me years ago and this is the perfect space to use it.
I’m not really done in here, but it is great for now. I would love to find the perfect piece of art to go on the large blank wall next to the desk. Perhaps an actual painting of Rainbow Row? I would love to know what you think of the space!
